Wedding at Water's Edge Resort in Westbrook, Connecticut: Ellizabeth and Terry were married on a gorgeous winter's day at the beautiful Water's Edge resort overlooking Long Island sound. The always amazing Tasha Bracken of SD Events created a magical atmosphere that included stunning florals by Yumiko Fletcher with Hana Floral Design in Mystic.

We call this image, "Have Fun. Be You." Love it.

Just after Elizabeth and Terry enjoyed a few moments together at water's edge, the fog rolled in off Long Island Sound.

The Murrays--Our Story

David and Linda spent years in the fast-track world of photojournalism and network news. David was named a Pulitzer Prize Finalist for his work in Haiti, and worked for many national publications including The New York Times, The Ft. Lauderdale News and Sun Sentinel and The Atlanta Journal and Constitution. Linda was a Peabody and Emmy award-winning foreign correspondent for ABC NEWS and CNN. After their son Ryan was born they moved to their beach house on the coast of Maine where they created David Murray Weddings. Five years ago they welcomed John to their studio as a principal photographer. Recently, David Murray Weddings expanded to include a studio in Atlanta, Georgia. Atlanta is second home to David and Linda as it is where they spent much of their careers. They now divide their time between Atlanta and New England. The couple that once covered wars together now spends time documenting the far more civilized social ritual of marriage.

David

David Murray is the co-owner of David Murray Weddings and David Murray Photography and a principal photographer.

A Pultizer Prize finalist, David covered everything from wars to newsmakers to the New York fashion runways.

David's wedding work has been published in the national wedding blog Style Me Pretty; The Atlantan Brides magazine; Southern Weddings Magazine and blog; Maine Magazine Wedding issue; Southern New England Weddings Magazine; and other notable national wedding publications.

David was named one of the Top Five Wedding Photojournalists in the World by the International Wedding Photojournalists Association (WPJA) for his wedding photography in 2007.

Linda

Linda has recently launched a new style of wedding cinematography, exclusively for the clients of David Murray Weddings. These wedding films are a blend of still imagery; video; select audio of the day and music and custom designed for the sophisticated bride. They are a fresh and contemporary take on traditional wedding videos. Linda is also a documentary filmmaker and the director and producer of the feature documentary film, The Diaries. This inspiring and humorous documentary premiered at the Silver Docs film festival at the American Film Institute and screened at numerous film festivals including Mill Valley FF and The Bahamas FF. It recently screened on The Documentary Channel.

John

John is an international photojournalist represented for his wedding work by David Murray Weddings. This will be his seventh season working with the studio.

His wedding photography for David Murray Weddings has been published in Martha Stewart Weddings; Style Me Pretty; Southern Weddings magazine blog; Southern New England Weddings magazine and many other wedding publications.

He is the founder of a non-profit photography organization that provides photographic and multi-media services to other non-profit organizations.

Among his many awards, John was ranked #11 in the world by the International Wedding Photojournalists Association in their 2007 rankings of the top 100 wedding photojournalists.
